Eliza Beaudin Named Laura Hurd Award Finalist

ELMIRA, N.Y. –  The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its finalists for the Laura Hurd Award on Tuesday evening, with Eliza Beaudin ’22 being named to the list.

A native of Lewiston, Maine, Beaudin finished the regular season with 13 goals and 18 assists for a total of 31 points, and has scored four goals and six assists in Elmira’s current postseason run to the NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey final four. Earlier this season, Beaudin joined Elmira College’s 100-point club after notching two points at home against Trinity on January 18.

Beaudin currently ranks second on the team in points (41) and assists (24) while leading the team lead in goals (17). Her five game-winning goals this season is tied for the lead with teammate Emma Crocker ’21 to pace the Purple & Gold. Her 57 career goals rank 7th all-time in program history, while her 13 game-winning goals, 17 power-play goals, and five short-handed goals also rank in the top-10 all-time for Elmira.

Earlier this season, Beaudin was named the NEHC Player of the Year by the coaches in the conference.
