What’s New in NHL 25 World of Chel

by admin

In another deep dive blog post, EA Sports NHL has unveiled new updates for NHL 25 World of Chel.

The most significant change is the incorporation of dynamic Live Events. This will include new tournaments and progression based events with different parameters such as goal races. These events will earn players unique rewards.

The first event is NHL 94 Rewind, with pixelated blue ice and no player fatigue.

With the rise of private EASHL draft leagues hopefully these changing events give more reason for players to compete in public matches.

Major attribute changes are coming to X-Factors and player loadouts.

All X-Factors and boosts will be accessible for players at level one, which will save players from needing to grind out games to unlock a desired perk.

Speed, Acceleration, and Agility boosts have been removed from the game, with each default loadout receiving a +2 boost in these categories.

Similarly, Elite Edges have been completely removed from World of Chel to help the competitive balance. It will be interesting to see how this impacts gameplay and what Zone and Superstar abilities will be popular as Elite Edges was one of the dominate abilities in previous NHL games.

Custom classes will now receive more attribute points per season, and special characters can now be equipped to custom loadouts.

In two quality of life changes, Chel Coin rewards are now automatically updated, and you can now copy and paste your character over different presets.

NHL 25 will be available on early access Sept. 27, and will be released in full on Oct. 4.
