The New Jersey Devils announced they have assigned forward Nolan Foote to their AHL affiliate Utica Comets.
Foote has appeared in two games for the Devils this season, most recently in New Jersey’s 3-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues. He is pointless and is averaging 10:46 of time on ice.
The 24-year-old has four goals and nine points in 12 games with Utica this season.
He has been a solid AHL producer throughout his career, notching 48 goals and 99 points in 150 career games.
The Comets are second last in the AHL in points and goals for, getting Foote back should be a boost for their offense.
Foote signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Devils in August.
