In this Rangers post game news conference, forward Barclay Goodrow raved about the play of goaltender Jaroslav Halak, right from the drop of the puck of their 4-1 win over Vegas. Goodrow: “Jaro stood on his head the whole game, especially the first period, kept us in it.” The Rangers finally picked up their play late in the first period, scoring a pair of late goals including, Goodrow setting up Vincent Trocheck for his first tally in ten games. Still, it was Halak who made the difference. “It’s a good feeling when your second goalie can come in, play like that and provide a sense of calmness to our team.”
