Denis Gurianov Departs Flyers For KHL

by admin

Philadelphia Flyers forward Denis Gurianov has parted ways with the team, joining CSKA Moscow in the KHL on a two-year deal.

Gurianov joined the Flyers from the Nashville Predators in March of this year, but played just 18 games between the two teams during the 2023-24 season. He was received in exchange for winger Wade Allison, who also has signed a deal in the KHL with Kazakhstan-based Barys Astana.

Across those 18 games, he tallied one goal and one assist.

The 27-year-old Russian native has struggled to cement a regular spot in the rosters of the four teams he’s played for in the past two seasons, including the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens.

Across his entire NHL career, Gurianov has totaled 52 goals and 61 assists across 299 games after being drafted 12th overall by the Stars in 2015.
