Devils forward Curtis Lazar is out indefinitely after undergoing “a successful left knee procedure,” New Jersey announced Thursday.
Lazar’s injury occurred in Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
He last scored a point with a goal in this past Friday’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders.
Lazar has two points, on a goal and an assist, in 12 games this season.
He totaled 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 71 games last year.
The 29-year-old has been with the Devils since March 3, 2023, when they traded a fourth-round NHL Draft pick to the Vancouver Canucks for him.
