The ECHL’s Tahoe Knight Monsters have signed defenseman Ryan Orgel to a one-year deal, the team announced this past week.

A product of Los Angeles, Calif., Orgel spent time with both the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) and Syracuse Crunch last season. With the Thunder, Orgel scored five goals and added nine assists for 14 points in 40 regular season games. He also saw one game with the Crunch but was held pointless.
Before turning pro in 2021, Orgel played two seasons with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (NCAA D-III) and parts of two seasons at the University of Denver.
As Orgel heads to join the Knight Monsters, he will most likely secure a solid role with the team. With last season being the first time he got a call to the AHL, if Orgel can produce the same this season, it would not come as a surprise to see him called up again.
