MONTREAL, QC â Few phrases in Montreal Canadiens lore provoke more emotion or revive more memories than âThe Forumâ. Once called âthe most storied building in hockey historyâ by Sporting News, the arena was home to nearly 18,000 Habs fans between 1924-1996.
Today that iconic structure on Cabot Square no longer echoes with the sounds of skates, sticks, pucks, and cheers amid Stanley Cup-winning excitement. However, Habs fans have found new ways to keep making their voices heard.
With this in mind, Rocket Sports Media is proud to bring you a new video column, Habs Fan Forum. The weekly video series is hosted by contributor Ben Dankiw. Each week heâll take you on a journey to recap the highs and lows of the Habs from a fanâs perspective. So buckle up, itâs always a wild ride!
This Week:
On this weekâs episode, Ben reacts to what went wrong in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final series against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and gives his thoughts on how the Habs need to adjust in order to turn things around. Youâve probably heard the saying, âYou donât lose a series until you lose a game at home,â and Ben believes that rings true for this weekendâs two-game home stand!
So how can the Canadiens make that happen? Watch as Ben offers his ideas for areas of improvement: coaching battles, deployment of the forward and d-lines, and finishing chances.
Ben is flying into Montreal to join the throngs of Habs fans as they cheer on their team for game three and is very excited to watch the drama unfold!
