Minnesota Wild Recall Travis Boyd From Iowa

by admin

The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Travis Boyd from the Iowa Wild, it was announced Friday.

Boyd, who began the season in the AHL, has collected two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 13 games.

Drafted by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Draft, Boyd has appeared in 296 career NHL regular season games with the Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and Arizona Coyotes. Over that span, he put up 47 goals and 71 assists for 118 points.

With this being Boyd’s first NHL recall of the season, he was called up due to a ‘few question marks’ amongst Wild players ahead of their game Sunday. Having spent four full seasons in the NHL prior to 2024-25, Boyd has proven to be a reliable player in a team’s bottom six and could slot right in if need be.
