2024 first-overall pick Macklin Celebrini told reporters at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase that he will live with Joe Thornton for the 24-25 season.

Naturally, that left questions about the Sharks’ other top prospect and his living arrangement for the season.
Marleau, the NHL’s all-time leader in games played, is another terrific mentor for the young players. Smith can pick Marleau’s brain about what it takes to be a successful player in the NHL for a long time. The franchise also employs the 1997 second-overall pick as a player development coach.
Marleau and Thornton were the “coaches” of Team White during the Sharks prospect scrimmage.
