GENEVA, N.Y. – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles ended their 2024 calendar schedule by taking a 6-0 loss in the second half of a back-to-back with the Hobart College Statesmen on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Conor Lally opened the scoring with a power-play goal at the 15:46 mark in the opening period. Shortly after, Tanner Daniels made it 2-0 Statesmen heading into the first intermission.
A three-goal second period put the game out of the reach of the Soaring Eagles, who were unable to solve the Statesmen’s netminder, Mavrick Goyer, who finished with 16 saves.
Another goal for Hobart in the third period made it a 6-0 final. Brody Haynes ’26 stopped seven of 12 shots before being relieved by Cameron Manley ’28. Manley fared well, denying 17/18 shots he faced out of the bullpen.

Elmira College will be back on the ice after the calendar turns to 2025. It will open play on Tuesday, Jan. 7, in Potsdam for a non-conference matchup with the Bears. Opening puck drop for the 2025 opener will come at 4:00 PM.
