Top-10 PSA Most Graded Hockey Players of 2024, Part One: Two Young Guns and a Not-So Young Gun

The most time-honored tradition of collecting sports cards is passing rookie cards down from generation to generation. Every card tells a story. I can tell you exactly where I was, if it was a sunny day, and how old I was when I opened my first pack of baseball cards.

There may be no bigger thrill in the hobby than passing down one’s most treasured cards to their children.

I’d wager that one of the hockey players who is in the bottom-three of PSA’s top-10 most graded hockey players on the 2024 list has had his cards passed down from multiple generations.

Juraj Slafkovsky O-Pee-Chee Platinum Rainbow Color Wheel

No. 10, 4,012 Submissions – Juraj Slafkovsky

Commonly referred to as “Slaf” by hockey breakers, Slafkovsky comes in at No. 10 of PSA’s most graded hockey players of 2024. The No. 1 overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft came in at No. 26 on the 2023 list of PSA’s most graded hockey players.

There is plenty of hype surrounding Slafkovsky as he will be a large part of bringing the Montreal Canadiens back to their championship ways.

No. 9, 4,035 Submissions – Jaromir Jagr

Jagr would be the player I was referring to that has had his card passed down from multiple generations. Collectors are equally excited today as they were thirty-years-ago pulling Jagr hits from Upper Deck packs.

Jagr was just outside of last year’s top-10 (No. 14). It seems like Jagr is getting near to calling it quits with professional hockey which explains his return to PSA’s top-10 list of most graded hockey players of 2024.

No. 8, 4,746 Submissions – Cole Caufield

The second Young Gun from the Montreal Canadiens to make PSA’s top-10 list of most graded hockey players of 2024 is Cole Caufield. Like Slafkovsky, Caufield figures to plan in the Canadiens’ plans to return to championship form.

This is Caufield’s second appearance in PSA’s top-10 list of most graded hockey cards, the No. 15 overall pick of the 2019 NHL draft was No. 3 overall in 2023.

Make sure to check back soon to see who else cracked PSA’s top-10 list of most graded hockey players of 2024.

Happy hunting and collecting!
