Hockey Canada announced Friday that Oshawa Generals forward Brett Harrison has been added to Canada’s National Junior Team Summer Development Camp. Among those players unable to participate is Hamilton Bulldogs forward Ryan Winterton.
The 19-year-old Harrison recorded 27 goals, 34 assists and 61 points over 65 games in his sophomore OHL season, spending time both at centre and the wing. The 6-foot-3, 175Ib. from Dorchester, Ont. recently attended NHL Development Camp with the Boston Bruins, who selected him in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft.
Harrison was originally Oshawa’s first round (16th overall) pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. He was part of Canada’s gold medal winning National Under-18 Team that came out on top at the 2021 IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship in Frisco, Texas.
Harrison joins 15 other OHL players in Calgary at the camp that gets underway on Saturday, July 23rd.
