Latest update on David Krejci’s status for Bruins-Panthers Game 6 originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Boston Bruins center David Krejci has missed the last three games of his team’s first-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers, but he is making the trip with the B’s for Friday night’s Game 6 at FLA Live Arena.

“Krejci is traveling with us, and he has a couple of more boxes to check before we can say he’s a player,” Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Thursday.

Krejci, who is dealing with a lower body injury, played the first two games of the series and hasn’t been in the lineup since.

Did Matthew Tkachuk gives Bruins bulletin-board material for Game 6?

The Bruins have won two of the three games Krejci has missed and they lead the series 3-2. The Panthers staved off elimination with a 4-3 overtime win in Game 5 on Wednesday night at TD Garden.

Pavel Zacha has been the second-line center for the majority of Krejci’s absence in this series.
