The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with goaltender Louis Domingue on a two-year contract.
Domingue appeared in 22 games for the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2021-22, going 10-9-2 with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage. He also played two regular-season games in the NHL with Pittsburgh, and made six appearances during the Penguins’ Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Rangers.
Domingue has played 125 games in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Stockton, Syracuse, Binghamton, Springfield and Portland, and has a record of 56-49-10 with a 2.83 goals-against average, a .907 save percentage and five shutouts.
A fifth-round pick by Phoenix in the 2010 NHL Draft, Domingue has made 142 appearances in the NHL with Arizona, Tampa Bay, New Jersey, Vancouver and Calgary, and has a record of 59-60-10 with a 3.04 GAA, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts.
