ELMIRA, N.Y. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with defenseman Cam Lowe ’28 earning Rookie of the Week accolades for Men’s Ice Hockey.
The Auburn, New York native recorded three assists and three blocked shots and was a +3 on the ice through a pair of wins against No. 7 Skidmore College over the weekend.
Lowe notched his first collegiate assist on Friday and followed with a second assist later in the contest as the Soaring Eagles recorded a 3-2 against Skidmore. Lowe added an assist on Saturday as the Purple & Gold completed the weekend sweep against the Thoroughbreds with a 5-1 victory.
The NEHC also recognized Kahlil Fontana from Hobart as the Player of the Week and Anthony Beaulieu from New England College as the Goaltender of the Week.
Elmira looks to add to its four-game winning streak in NEHC play this weekend with contests against Albertus Magnus at the Murray Athletic Center on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
