Import selections Alriksson and Slavik commit to Storm – Ontario Hockey League

Guelph, ON – Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2023 CHL Import Draft selections Vilmer Alriksson and Damian Slavik have committed to Standard Player Agreements with the hockey club.

Vilmer Alriksson, a 6’6, 214 lbs forward from Enebyberg, Sweden was selected 34th overall by the Storm in this month’s Import Draft after recording 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points in 52 games split between Djurgardens IF U18 and U20 clubs. The 2005-born forward was selected in the fourth round (107th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in this year’s NHL Entry Draft.

Damian Slavik, a 6’4, 185 lbs goaltender from Nove Zamky, Slovakia was selected 94th overall by the Storm in this year’s Import Draft. The 2005-born netminder registered 5 wins and 2 losses with a 1.82 GAA and a 0.940 save percentage playing for the Team Slovakia U18’s in Slovakia’s U20 League. Slavik also represented Slovakia at the 2023 U18 IIHF World Hockey Championships.
