Sharks Have Tenth Most Travel Distance In 24-25

by admin

The NHL’s Pacific Division is known for each team’s long-distance travels throughout each season, and the San Jose Sharks have the tenth most miles to travel during the 2024-25 season.

San Jose will travel a total of 48,431 miles this season. Including the Sharks, seven of the eight Pacific Division teams make up the league’s top ten, with the Anaheim Ducks leading the way at 50,943 miles.

The Philadelphia Flyers will travel the least this season at 35,410 miles. Every team does play everywhere, but with two divisions in each conference, some teams will host a team twice while only visiting them once.

For example, the Sharks will visit the St. Louis Blues, who are in the Central Division, twice this season and host them once. Last season, the Sharks had the Blues come to the SAP Center twice.

With such a young projected roster, Sharks top prospects Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith will need to adjust to the long travel schedules on top of learning how to play in the NHL and playing 82 games compared to 38 (Celebrini) and 41 (Smith).
