Peterka potted three goals in a 7-3 Sabres win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Peterka has emerged as a bright young player for the team. In 2023-24, he scored 28 goals and added 22 assists for 50 points in 82 regular season games. Through parts of three seasons in the NHL, Peterka has 82 points in 161 games.

Before turning full-time with the Sabres, Peterka spent his first season in North America playing for the Americans, putting up 28 goals and 40 assists for 68 points in 70 regular season games.

With Peterka getting off on the right foot, it is a great sign for the Sabres. The Sabres are looking to snap the longest active NHL playoff drought and having a skilled playmaker like Peterka continue to evolve will only help their chances of breaking it.
