Golden Knights Reassign Six Prospects To Their Junior Clubs

by admin

The Vegas Golden Knights announced they are reassigning six players to their junior teams.

Mikael Huchette, Viliam Kmec, Mazden Leslie, Jacob Mathieu, Shane Smith, and Tuomas Uronen will all report back to their junior teams.

The six prospects have picked up valuable experience from both training camp and rookie camp. They were able to go up against top competition at the 2024 NHL Rookie Faceoff and train alongside proven NHL players. They can take the lessons about how hard NHL players train and what it takes to make it to the NHL.

It’s expected that the training camp roster will be trimmed further in the next few days/weeks ahead of the beginning of the 2024/25 regular season. Players will be sent back to their junior teams or assigned to the Golden Knights’ farm system, those being the Henderson Silver Knights(AHL) or the Tahoe Knight Monsters (ECHL).

The Golden Knights beat the San Jose Sharks in their first preseason game and will be back in action on Wednesday when they play the Los Angeles Kings at T-Mobile Arena.
