Oilers Reclaim Raphael Lavoie On Waivers From The Golden Knights

by admin

The Edmonton Oilers have reclaimed Raphael Lavoie on waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights.

The 24-year-old was first placed on waivers by the Oilers and then claimed by the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights were hoping they could sneak Lavoie through waivers the following day, but the Oilers weren’t going to let that happen.

The Oilers drafted Lavoie in the second round of the 2019 NHL draft and have been patient with his development. They’ve allowed him to develop in the AHL and re-signed him to a two-way deal in the offseason.

The Golden Knights were hoping to be able to send him down to the Henderson Silver Knights and use him as a depth forward if they ran into injury problems throughout the year.
