Celebrini’s past love of the Canucks is no secret. His brother, Aiden, is a prospect in the organization, while Macklin himself was seen at Game 7 of Vancouver’s second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers. Celebrini, who is from North Vancouver, played some of his youth hockey in B.C., which included time with the North Shore Winter Club.

Vancouver concludes their four-game road trip on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Last season, the Canucks swept the Blackhawks, winning all three of their matchups. The game is part of what the NHL is calling “Frozen Frenzy,” as all 32 teams will be in action. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:15 pm P.T. from the United Center.
