MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) has released its annual Preseason Coaches’ Poll for women’s ice hockey. The poll is compiled based on rankings from the league’s ten head coaches.
Elmira College (97 points) took the top spot in the preseason poll after winning the 2024 NEHC Championship and finishing as the national runner-up in the NCAA tournament. Norwich University (92 points) is slated second after finishing first in regular season conference play last season. William Smith College (76 points), University of Southern Maine (70 points), and Vermont State University Castleton (60 points), round out the top five. See below for the full poll.

Teams open the regular season non-conference schedule on Friday, November 1 with six of the ten teams seeing action that weekend. League play begins the following Friday, November 8, with all teams facing off against each other twice in the regular season.
