Clarkson rises in latest women’s hockey Power 5

A great week for the very best in women’s college hockey, as NCAA correspondent Jordan Menard’s Power 5 rankings include no changes to the top three. 

Here’s a look at the rest of Menard’s rankings:

🏒 MORE COLLEGE HOCKEY 🏒

No. 1 Ohio State (Previous: 1) —  The Buckeyes took a home sweep over Minnesota Duluth. Hannah Bilka scored the lone goal in Saturday’s game, while on Friday Raygan Kirk earned her fifth shutout on the season.

No. 2 Wisconsin (Previous: 2) —  The Badgers posted a pair of wins this weekend over Minnesota State. On Saturday, Casey O’Brien passed a career milestone with 150 career points after posting a goal and three assists in the 7-2 win. 

No. 3 Colgate (Previous: 3) — Colgate earned a 5-0 shutout over then-No.6 Quinnipiac on Friday, and then followed it up with a 6-0 shutout on Saturday over Princeton. In Saturday’s game, Hannah Murphy earned a clean sheet with 30 saves.

No. 4 Clarkson (Previous: 5) — The Golden Knights are on a five-game win streak after downing Yale and Brown over the weekend. Dominique Petrie had a pair of goals on Friday while Sena Catterall did the same on Saturday.

No. 5 Minnesota (Previous: 4) — The Gophs earned a pair of wins this weekend over Bemidji State, with a 2-0 win on Friday and a 3-1 win on Saturday.
