Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Max McCue To Cleveland Monsters

by admin

The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Max McCue to the Cleveland Monsters, the team announced Tuesday.

McCue dealt with an undisclosed injury that sidelined him for the majority of training camp.

A product of Sudbury, Ont., McCue is getting ready for his first pro season after spending parts of four years with the OHL’s London Knights. In 2023-24, he scored 27 goals and added 34 assists for 61 points in 62 regular season games.

Drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL Draft, McCue never signed with the team and inked his entry-level deal with the Blue Jackets in March.

A skilled puckhandler who has the ability to navigate in small areas, McCue has the skills required to make an impact right out of the gates.
