Former Fan Favorite John Scott Teases Return To Sharks

by admin

Former fan favorite John Scott teased a possible return to the San Jose Sharks on his Dropping The Gloves podcast.

Scott is the co-host of a podcast, which he signed off on by saying, “You know where else you might see us? San Jose fans, keep an eye out for this.”

Scott then paused and backtracked.

“Should I not mention it? It might not be public. I shouldn’t say it yet. I am going to save it, but keep an eye out in San Jose for me,” Scott said.

Scott played 38 games for the Sharks in 2014-15. He scored three goals and added one assist, which were career highs. As hockey fans know, Scott isn’t known for his offense; he’s known as a fighter.

The tough guy has found a second career in hockey with his podcast. With the Sharks needing a replacement for Bret Hedican, Scott could be someone they are targeting.

Scott was a fan favorite throughout the league. In 2016, the fans voted the gritty winger into the All-Star Game despite his lack of star play. He scored two goals during the 3-on-3 tournament and was named MVP.

Pacific Division forward John Scott (28) of the Montreal Canadiens celebrates with Pacific Division forward Joe Pavelski (8) of the San Jose Sharks after a goal during the 2016 NHL All-Star Game at Bridgestone Arena.

Scott said, “It might not be public,” which leads THN to believe that whatever appearance or return he is teasing was already made official between the Sharks and Scott.
