Rangers’ Jacob Trouba among players featured in NHL’s behind-the-scenes docuseries

Rangers captain Jacob Trouba is among the players featured in NHL’s currently unnamed behind-the-scenes docuseries which will be released later this fall on Amazon Prime. 

The action-packed docuseries will focus on the NHL’s biggest teams and superstars as they embark throughout the season on their quest to take home the coveted Stanley Cup.

It will reveal what life is like on-and-off the ice for some of the game’s top talent and will also feature in-depth interviews their teammates, coaches, rivals, and family throughout the course of the season.

“This is so meaningful for our league. Box To Box has revolutionized modern storytelling for Formula 1, golf, and tennis,” NHL chief content officer and senior executive vice president Steve Mayer said in a press release. 

“With the full support of the league, players, coaches, and owners we welcome the opportunity to showcase our stars and the greatest season and postseason in sports to a global audience.”

There will certainly be plenty of exciting moments to get an inside look at from New York’s exciting campaign which featured a Stadium Series matchup with the rival Islanders, numerous come-from-behind wins, and a Presidents’ Trophy berth.

Some of the other stars involved include Edmonton’s Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Boston’s David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman, Vancouver’s Quinn Hughes, Vegas’ Jack Eichel, and Toronto’s William Nylander, Nashville’s Filip Forsberg, and Colorado’s Gabriel Landeskog among others.
