Silver Knights Re-Sign Rookie Centre To AHL Deal

by admin

The Henderson Silver Knights have re-signed rookie centre, Jett Jones to an AHL contract.

In his first season with the Silver Knights, the 21-year-old scored two goals and five points in 31 games. He split his time between the AHL and ECHL with the Savannah Ghost Pirates where he recorded two goals and six points in 36 games.

The former Lethbridge Hurricanes captain will look to translate some of his goal-scoring from the WHL to the AHL. In his final season with the Hurricanes, he registered 21 goals and 50 points in 67 games, finishing second in his team in both categories.

With a 6’3, 212 lbs frame, Jones has the tools to be an effective third-line centre for the Silver Knights if he can improve offensively. He has the required attributes to be a physical force but needs the physicality to translate into more goals and assists.
