North Bay Battalion 5 vs. Peterborough Petes 3
The Petes were hot in the first period, scoring three goals in the first 10 minutes.
Petes rookie Colin Fitzgerald opened the scoring in the first minute, netting his first OHL goal. Following that, he scored his second with a nice play in front of the net.
The Battalion weren’t scared. They scored five unanswered goals through the remainder of the game, earning them the win.
Anaheim Ducks prospect Ethan Procyszyn scored the deciding goal 7:56 into the third.
North Bay defenceman Kent Greer scored his first OHL goal in the opening period.
The Battalion improve to 3-0 on the season.

Brampton Steelheads 4 vs. Barrie Colts 1
After a scoreless first period, Steelheads captain Porter Martone sniped one in the second to get his team on the board.
Martone didn’t stop there, netting another goal and an assist, earning him OHL Performer of the night honours.
Martone leads the OHL with nine points (3-6–9) through three games.
Angus MacDonell also netted two, giving the Steelheads a 4-0 lead in the third period.
Barrie Colts forward Emil Hemming netted the first of his career to put the Colts on the board late.
The Steelheads improve to 3-0 to start the season for the second straight year.

Windsor Spitfires 5 vs. Soo Greyhounds 0
AJ Spellacy put the Spitfires on the board early, following his return from Chicago Blackhawks training camp.
The Spitfires scored four more unanswered, and goaltender Joey Costanzo turned away 27 shots in the shutout win.
The shutout is the 100th in Spitfires history, and the club’s first on home ice since Jan. 17, 2009.
Washington Capitals prospect Ilya Protas netted the first goal of his OHL career in the first period.
