The best regular season team of the 2021-22 season is yet again a top contender for the Stanley Cup, and it’s no surprise. Last season, the Panthers produced one of the best offensive displays in recent memory.
Florida replicated its regular season form in Round 1 of the 2022 NHL playoffs, clinching its first playoff victory since 1996. But their season was cut short after being swept by the Lightning in Round 2.
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning saw their 11-series playoff winning streak come to an end at the Stanley Cup finals last year. However, Tampa Bay has one of the best goalkeepers in the NHL (Andrei Vasilevskiy) and will look to reclaim their spot as Stanley Cup champions this year.
