ELMIRA, N.Y. â Elmira College women’s ice hockey captain Eliza Beaudin ’22 was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Women’s At-Large First Team on Thursday afternoon.
Beaudin is now eligible for the Academic All-America® ballot, as selected by CoSIDA. She is the fifth player in team history to garner Academic All-District® honors, joining Elizabeth Hanson ’21, Ari Smith ’18, Sarah Hughson ’18, and Katie Granato ’19.
Adding to a memorable career as part of the Purple & Gold, Beaudin helped lead Elmira to a New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) regular season and tournament championship, while being named the NEHC Player of the Year. She also added first-team laurels after tallying a career-high 42 points and joining the 100-point club during the regular season.
Beaudin was named a finalist for the Laura Hurd Award and garnered CCM Hockey/AHCA First Team All-American honors after pacing the Soaring Eagles with 18 goals to go along with 24 assists and five game-winning goals.
Her 58 career goals rank seventh all-time in program history, while her 13 game-winning goals, 18 power-play goals, and five short-handed goals each rank in the top-10 all-time for Elmira.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
