Alex Edler isn’t going anywhere.
The Los Angeles Kings have announced that they have signed Edler to a one-year, league-minimum $750,000 extension.
Edler, 36, signed with the Kings last summer after spending the first 15 years of his career with Vancouver. Edler had three goals and 19 points during the regular season and had another two assists in seven playoff games, his first playoff appearance since 2015.
Despite being an older blueliner, Edler managed to play 18:28 a night – the lowest amount since becoming a full-time NHLer in 2007-08.
