London, ON – The London Knights have signed 6’3 defenceman Sam Dickinson.
Dickinson, the fourth overall selection of the Niagara IceDogs in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection was acquired by the Knights on Wednesday, August 31st from the IceDogs in exchange for seven draft picks. Dickinson put up almost a point per game as a defenceman in the GTHL with the Toronto Marlboros last season, recording 5 goals and 34 assists over 46 games.
Dickinson was the first defenceman taken off the board in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. “He has a complete 200-foot game and is a top end talent of size, skill, and grit. He’s the type of player you win with.” – Mark Hunter, General Manager.
Dickinson will now look ahead to Knights training camp which begins tomorrow, September 2nd, 2022.
