ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles beat the University of Southern Maine, 4-1 at USM Ice Arena on Friday Night. The Soaring Eagles got goals from four different players in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Following a scoreless first period, Bailey Krawczyk ’24 lit the lamp for Elmira on the power play seven minutes into the middle frame. His goal was set up by Seth Ferguson ’28 and Nathan Young ’25.
With just over six minutes remaining in the period, USM netted its only goal courtesy of Jeff Pollara. Pollara’s shot was the only one Brody Haynes ’26 was not able to stop. Haynes has now played 125:15 and only allowed one goal on the year.
In the final minutes of the period, Carter Wisely ’25 put the Soaring Eagles ahead for good with his first goal of the season. Wisely’s tally came off assists from Stephan MacDonald ’27 and Kenny Maxwell ’27.
Ferguson netted his second goal of the season late in the third period by way of assists from Krawczyk and Shane Haviland ’24. Young finished the night for Elmira, scoring with :46 remaining in the game off assists from Brennan Boyce ’28 and Matt York ’26.
