The Sudbury Wolves raised Marc Staal’s #14 to the heights of the Sudbury Community Arena on Friday night. The Florida Panthers defenceman is a former Wolves captain who earned the Max Kaminsky Trophy as OHL Defenceman of the Year in 2007, the same year he won the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as MVP of the OHL Playoffs. Staal won a pair of World Junior gold medals and has played over 1,000 games in his NHL career.
