Anson Thornton turned aside 23 shots on Thursday night before firing home one of his own in the final minute of regulation, becoming the 10th goaltender in OHL history to find the back of the net.
Thornton’s goal is the first by an OHL goaltender since Peterborough’s Dylan Wells last scored on Apr. 13, 2017 against the Kingston Frontenacs, a series the Petes would win in four games.
Thornton is the first Colts goaltender to score, and the fifth in OHL history to light the lamp in a playoff game.
Are we for real, Anson 🥵
