Based in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Acadia University is home to over 4,500 students. Established in 1838, the institution turns 185 this year, and features one of Atlantic University Sport’s longest-standing men’s hockey programs. Several OHL graduates have made their way east to play at Acadia in recent years, utilizing their OHL scholarship to pursue an education.
The Axemen men’s hockey program enjoyed an early 90’s dynasty driven by OHL products like Greg Clancy and Jason Weaver under head coach Tom Coolen. They’re coming off a 13-16-0-1 showing in 2022-23, embarking on the new season with a total of eight OHL graduates on their current roster.
