The Owen Sound Attack are excited to announce that they have signed 2021 OHL Priority Selection first round pick Colby Barlow to a standard player agreement.
âIt feels surreal, itâs something Iâve been working towards my whole life and to be able to official sign is a dream come trueâ said Barlow when asked about how it feels to sign his player agreement with the Attack.
The native of Orillia, Ontario is very excited to get started and see what being a member of the Attack organization is all about.
âI canât wait to get to Owen Sound and meet everyone in the organization face to faceâ said Barlow. âIâm really excited to meet the group of guys Iâll be playing with, I have heard nothing but great things.â
âI just canât wait to meet and experience all of Owen Sound, itâs amazing community and fanbaseâ added Barlow.
Barlow, a native of Orillia, Ontario, played his minor hockey for the Toronto Marlboros in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. Even with limited action and training difficulties, the six-foot-one centreman has continued to get bigger, stronger and has further improved his skills, which should allow him to have an immediate impact.
Attack General Manager Dale DeGray is very excited to see what his eighth overall pick can bring to the organization.
âWe are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to draft Colby,â said DeGray. âHaving the ability to add a player of his calibre is very exciting. We would like to welcome Colby and his family to the Attack organization and look forward to seeing him hit the ice in late August.â
Barlow wanted to share a special message to the Attack fan base.
âAttack fans, I canât wait to see you and feel your support on a daily basis. Iâm so excited to meet you all and play in-front of you. GO ATTACK GO!â said Barlow.
