‘I’m Keeping The Goals For The Season’: Sharks’ Thomas Bordeleau Jokes About Hitting Posts In Summer 3-On-3 League

by admin

San Jose Sharks forward Thomas Bordeleau signed a one-year contract extension and is currently in Montreal training and playing in the LSHL summer three-on-three league.

Habs Fan TV posted a hilarious mic’d-up video of the forward constantly coming close to scoring but consistently hitting the post.

“I’m keeping the goals for the season. We have this three-on-three league every Tuesday night with all the NHL guys in the area,” Bordeleau told reporters. “It’s a lot of fun and for a good cause. They pack it [the rink] with fans.”

Bordeleau’s father, Sebastian, is a development coach for the Nashville Predators and oversees the skates.

Thomas said that NHL players around the Montreal area participate in the league. Bordeleau said that Pierre-Luc Dubois, Kris Letang, P.O. and Mathieu Joseph, and Anthony Beauvillier are just some of the other NHLers who play.

Bordeleau jokingly threw some shade at fellow teammate Marc-Edouard Vlasic.

“Pickles is a little far from here. It’s like a two-hour drive,” Bordeleau said. “At his age, I don’t think he needs to do those three-on-three games.”

This season could be a make-or-break year for the 22-year-old. With many new Sharks prospects entering the fold, the center-turned-winger must perform well at training camp to make the NHL club.

“I think it’s just how much I can use my speed in a game and how I can drive offense. I think I haven’t done that enough in the past, so I’m excited to do it more,” Bordeleau said about how he’s improving. “Whatever they need me to do, I’m excited to start doing it.”
