Abbotsford Canucks Ink Carsen Twarynski to One-Year Deal

by admin

The Abbotsford Canucks have signed forward Carson Twarynski to a one-year deal, it was announced this past week.

A product of Calgary, Alta., Twarynski spent time this season suiting up for the Vienna Capitals (ICEHL) and the Bridgeport Islanders. In 27 games with Vienna, Twarynski had 13 points. With Bridgeport, he scored four goals and added four assists for eight points in 27 regular season games.

Drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft, Twarynski spent parts of four seasons in the Flyers organization before departing. In that time, he saw 22 games with the Flyers and collected a goal.

Signing in the same province that he finished his junior career in, Twarynski is a solid depth signing for the Canucks. As someone who has NHL experience, Twarynski will be pushing for minutes and if he can surprise, may even find himself as a call-up option for Vancouver during the season.
