According to Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL, Steven Kampfer has signed a contract to play in the 2024-25 season with Traktor.
Kampfer, 35, played 45 games last year in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners as the team’s captain. He recorded three goals and 22 points. He has played 378 career AHL games and 231 career NHL games.
The 5-foot-11 defenseman spent three years in the Wild’s organization where he played in 13 NHL games with the Wild and 124 in the AHL with the Wild. He recorded two goals and one assist with Minnesota and ten goals and 47 points in the AHL with the Wild.
He has now signed a contract for the 2024-25 season in the KHL.
