Beckett Sennecke to Make Ducks Preseason Debut

IRVINE, Calif. – After recovering from a stress fracture in his right foot that he suffered during off-ice training, Beckett Sennecke is set to make his Ducks preseason debut.

After working out separately from the team for the past couple of weeks while rehabbing his foot, Sennecke joined main practice this week.

On Tuesday, he skated alongside Robby Fabbri and Mason McTavish, a possible preview of his linemates for tomorrow night’s game.

“He’s an OHL guy too,” Sennecke said. “So he can be a role model for me. He’s accomplished a lot over the past four or five years, so it’s good to have someone like that around you every day.”

For Sennecke, his first NHL camp has been an eye-opening experience. An emphasis on improving his defending is what he picked out as one element he’s taken away from his first NHL training camp.

“It’s something that you don’t really focus on in junior a lot,” he said with a laugh. “That’s another eye opener too, how strong these guys are, how fast they are and how much work you have to do to make it here.”
