NHL 25 has altered the approach the Power-Up Icon cards in Hockey Ultimate Team.
Players have been broken into two groups, Modern and Vintage Holograms.. These 12 players all come at 85 overall and can be upgraded.
These hologram cards feature HUT icons mainstays like Wayne Gretzky, Nick Lidstrom, and Mario Lemieux.
Additionally, there are 24 base Powerup Icons that come at 82 overall, 12 are Vintage and 12 are Modern, they are also upgradeable. Trading in 12 of these base icons earns you a corresponding choice pack to select a Hologram Icon.
The card art on the Hologram cards looks fantastic and come with each players autograph on the card.

The base Power-Up Icons are a mix of modern and vintage players including Kris Draper, Mike Fisher, Mark Recchi, Dale Hawerchuk, and Scott Gomez.
Like with X-Factor cards, Power-Up Collectibles have been replaced by Icon Tokens, which work the same way as collectibles last year. They can be acquired through objectives, sets, or in packs.
There are currently hologram themed moments that allow players to receive a vintage and modern player choice pack.
NHL 25 will be released in full for those who do not plan on purchasing the Deluxe Edition on Oct. 4.
