The New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres kicked off the NHL Global Series today in Prague.
The Devils took an early 2-0 lead in the first period, and it was all capped off by a potential save of the year candidate by Jacob Markstrom.
After being down in and out, Nicholas Aube-Kubel had a wide open net, and somehow Markstrom managed to stretch out to rob him.
This could be the first year in recent memory that NHL fans have seen the save of the year candidate within the first 30 minutes of the NHL season.
