Sidney Crosby is sitting at 598 career goals and could become just the second player in Pittsburgh Penguins history to score 600 goals if he scores twice against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
The only other Penguin to score more than 600 goals is Mario Lemieux, who has 690. Lemieux and Sharks star rookie Macklin Celebrini have shared history as they are the two fastest No. 1 overall picks to score their first NHL goal.

If Crosby gets to 600 against the Sharks, the Penguins will become just the second NHL franchise to have multiple 600-goal scorers in their franchise’s history. The only team to achieve this feat is the Detroit Red Wings with Gordie Howe and Steve Yzerman.
Luckily for the Sharks, Crosby isn’t known for scoring goals against them. The future Hall of Famer has played 22 games against Team Teal and has four goals and 17 assists. During the 2016 Stanley Cup Final, Crosby had four assists in six games.
