The NHL has announced today that the postponed Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning game originally scheduled for Oct. 12 has been rescheduled to Jan. 7, 2025.
The Canes were originally supposed to play in Tampa on Oct 12 following their season opener against the Lightning a day earlier in Raleigh, but the impact of Hurricane Milton made that impossible.
The Hurricanes and Lightning both originally had a three-day break on their schedules from Jan. 6-8 so the rescheduled game shouldn’t be too problematic for either team.
