The Ottawa Senators announced they have recalled defenseman Donovan Sebrango from the Belleville Senators and placed Artem Zub on injured reserve.
Sebrango has recorded two goals and six points in 14 games for the Belleville Senators this season, playing big minutes.
With Artem Zub placed on injured reserve there is a good chance we see the Ottawa native Sebrango make his NHL debut in one of the Senators games on their California road trip. His first chance to play comes Nov. 27 against the San Jose Sharks.
A third round selection of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2020 draft, Sebrango was acquired in July 2023 in the trade that sent Alex DeBrincat from Ottawa to Detroit.
The 22-year-old is in the final year of a three-year contract that pays him $828,333 annually, he will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
