ELMIRA, N.Y. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly award winners on Monday, with forward Erika Goleniak ’25 earning back-to-back Player of the Week accolades for Women’s Ice Hockey.
The Canton, Michigan native tallied a pair of goals to go along with five assists for a total of seven points in two wins over the weekend for the Soaring Eagles against Salem State University.
Goleniak recorded a pair of assists in a 5-1 victory against the Vikings on Friday night. She would follow with two goals and three assists in an 8-0 victory on Saturday. Her two goals on Saturday came via the power play and a penalty shot goal.
This is Goleniak’s third career and second straight Player of the Week honor after she garnered last week’s award for the Soaring Eagles. The NEHC also recognized Gaby Matson from Elmira as the Rookie of the Week and Leocadia Clark from Norwich as the Goaltender of the Week.
Elmira closes the month with a non-conference matchup against SUNY Cortland at the Murray Athletic Center on Tuesday, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
