Zach Werenski Named NHL’s First Star

The NHL has named Zach Werenski the first star for the week ending November 24th.

Werenski scored two goals and had seven points and a plus-6 rating for the week. He also totaled 14 shots on goal, had a game-winner, and leads the NHL in average time on ice. He also skated 32:17 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night.

Werenski is 2nd among all NHL defensemen with 20 points and also leads Columbus in points as well.

Zach Werenski is becoming a leader with Columbus both on and off the ice.

What’s Next – The Blue Jackets return home on Wednesday to play the Montreal Canadiens.
