North Bay wins series 4-2

  • Dallas Stars prospect Kyle McDonald scored a hat-trick for North Bay tying Logan Morrison for the playoff lead in goals with seven.
  • Mississauga did not go down without a fight outshooting North Bay 40-29, Winnipeg Jets prospect Dom Divincentiis made 36 saves in the win.
  • With an assist on Kyle McDonald’s second goal, Oilers prospect Matvey Petrov moved into a tie with Brandt Clarke for most assists in the OHL Playoffs with ten.
  • After briefly leaving the game early in the second period from a hit by Battalion captain Liam Arnsby which resulted in a major penalty Porter MArtone scored twice and added an assist in the loss.
  • The game marked the finale in the OHL careers of James Hardie, Charlie Callaghan, and Kasper Larsen.

Sarnia Sting 4, Guelph Storm 3 – OT
Sarnia wins series 4-2

  • For the second time in the series Nashville Predators prospect Nolan Burke scored the OT Winner sending the Sarnia Sting to the second round for the first time since 2018.
  • Former Storm forward Sasha Pastujov scored twice and added an assist, including the game-tying goal midway through the third to force overtime.
  • Guelph led the game 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 before finally dropping the contest 4-3.
  • The loss was the final game in the OHL for Cooper Walker, Jake Murray, and Ben McFarlane.
